Introduction |

Bainite Steel Research and Extension Center
The center was
established by Ministry of Science and Technology
and Ministry of Education and it is composed
of well-known scholars and backbone faculties
such as Professor Hongsheng Fang, Yankang
Zheng, Binzhe Bai, etc. In recent years, new
progress has been made in research, development
and extension of bainite steel and thus many
kinds of bainite steels have been used in
industry and obvious economical and social
benefits have been made. Besides, the center
obtained many awards in the field of bainite
steel, for example, the project "Novel
low carbon air-cooled bainite steel"
won the 1st grade Awards of Science and Technology
in Beijing City in 2002, the project "A
New Series of Bainitic Steel" won DuPont
Innovation Award in 2001 and the project "Air-cooled
bainite steel used for projectile and rocket"
won the Second Prize of National Education
Committee's Science & Technology Advance
Award.
