Abstract:
The method belongs to the technique area for managing the queue buffered resources. Its characteristics are as follows. Based on the discarding behavior of the arrival packets, the method adjusts the discarding threshold dynamically in order to raise the use rate of the system buffer resources. Besides the discarding threshold TH (TH=O-N, N is the capacity of the quene) is setup for controlling the discarding packets. The counting value of the number of the discarding packets and the upper limit value for the discarding packets for each priority are setup. When the counting value increases, reaching to the upper limit value, the discarding threshold is moved a step in order to reduce the discarded packets in this priority so as to realize the buffer resources shared dynamically.
