Abstract： |
A method to reduce complexity and storage capacity required by product code decoding features that it uses the specially expanded hamming code as the subcode of the product code and the syndrome of this subcode has a simple function relationship with the ordinal number of error symbol. On decoding, it makes the syndrome of hard decision vector equal to module 2 sum of each position for symbol ordinal number being "1" in hard decision vector, the syndrome value equals to the ordinal number of error symbol in error drawing to check and equal to module 2 sum of all symbols in hard decision vector so that the calculation method based on the existing decode method of soft input and output is improved. It saves the table looking up step in the original method so as to reduce the complexity and required storage capacity of decoding. |
