Abstract:
The invention relates to casing pipe type luminous optic-fiber bacterium probe and the preparing method for the probe for detecting the toxicity of water, pertains to the field of environment monitoring technology. The probe comprises a casing pipe, a luminous bacterium gel and an optic fiber. The luminous bacterium gel is placed at the end in the casing pipe. The optic fiber is inserted into the luminous bacterium gel. The preparing method comprises the following procedures: first luminous bacteria are inoculated in a bacterium-culturing medium, the cultured bacteria liquid is added into solved gel solution; the gel solution containing bacteria is filled into the casing pipe, which is soaked in a curing fluid to get cylindrical luminous bacterium gel blocks; the optic fiber is inserted along the center of the casing pipe, the cylindrical luminous bacterium gel is pushed in the casing pipe. The probe uses cheap plastic optic fiber as light-transmitting component and a casing pipe structure, the luminous bacterium optic-fiber sensor constructed by the probe can be used for rapid monitoring any toxic chemical pollution in lakes, rivers and water plants. The invention is of simple structure, easy to operate, cheap and can be rapidly used for field analysis.
