Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the field of high speed light communication technology, and is one kind of fast polarization mode dispersion generator. The fast polarization mode dispersion generator includes one polarization rotator, one differential group delay (DGD) generator and one monolithic computer. The input signal is led into the polarization rotator and the DGD generator and the signal is led out from the fiber. The polarization rotator and the DGD generator are connected to the monolithic computer. The present invention can generate DGD and PSP several strictly in Maxwell distribution and generate re-sampled or any DGD distribution, fixed DGD and separate PSP value. The present invention can generate pure the first order PMD, and has the advantages of high speed, high repeatability, fast response, etc. Several first order PMD generators may be connected serially to generate pure second order or higher order mixed PMD.
