Abstract: |
This invention discloses a method for cultivating methane-oxidizing bacteria by adding fatty acids in its normal culture medium, and it contains these advantages: 1) The fatty acids shape microspheres under mechanical force, and these microspheres can shuttle between gas phase and thallus, thereby supply the methane directly from the air to the thallus for their growing; 2) The combined action of the fatty acids and thallus metabolite generates super-stable microemulsion phase, whose containing increment is profitable for methane-oxidizing bacteria growth. Furthermore, compared with normal culture methods, this one can increase the growing speed of methane-oxidizing bacteria multiply, highly to 50 times. In its solid flat culture, frequent methane complementation to the flat culture is not needed any more, and the growing speed of thallus also increases markedly. This invention will be used broadly in commercial production of methane-oxidizing bacteria and its related products. |
