Abstract:
A freeform reflector design system comprising a user input interface, a free form reflector design unit and a free form reflector output unit and method thereof, wherein the free form reflector design unit includes a free form description module for producing a non-uniform rational B-spline description algorithm for describing the forming of the free form reflector according to the received relative data, an evaluation function establishment module for establishing an evaluation function to estimate the difference between the expected illumination distribution and the current illumination value, a population difference evolution algorithm module for producing a population difference evolution algorithm for optimization of forming of the free form reflector, a free form reflector model establishment module for establishing a free form reflector model according to the non-uniform rational B-spline description algorithm, the evaluation function and the population difference evolution algorithm. According to the invention, a free form reflector forming having complex light distribution demand can be produced automatically when the user input a small quantity of data by the user.
