Abstract:

An optical generating method of ultrawide band single cycle pulse based on double-reflection time delay includes generating pulse with reverse polarity on two vertical polarization states being orthogonalized to each other through photoelectric polarization modulation, utilizing double refraction phenomenon of polarization preserving fiber to make two vertical polarization lights generate certain time delay and obtaining ultrawide band single cycle pulse on electric domain by optical signal amplification and attenuation as well as photoelectric conversion.
