Abstract：
 The present invention involve a multimedia conference system suitable to different network types.This system is composed of main station,enunciatable station,auditing station,table conference terminal.using the central controlling mode of main station,the main station completes the conference creating and manages the terminal node and channel as well as conference course,keeping the conference orderly.Using the separation independent working mode of the upstream and downstream channel,the terminal node and the upstream channel uses connectionless mode.Encoding and decoding to the video signal using MPEG[4] or MPEC[2] standard.The transmission of the signaling and data uses the binding mode of the multicast and UDP protocol.The time for switching channel and channel transmission less than 3 seconds which accelerates the switching velocity and makes the participants feel more fluently.
