Abstract：
 Traditional storage mode of optical disc library attached to server is difficult to meet requirement of mass storage system in high performance and in high expansibility. The invented networked optical disc library connected to network directly providing access service includes storage management unit, network service unit, magnetic buffer unit and optical disc library storage unit so as to prevent service from transferring bottleneck. Magnetic buffer unit in large capacity is introduced in the invention as a buffer unit in use for networked optical disc library. Data with high access frequency in storage units of optical disc library are stored in magnetic buffer unit first, and then service is provided for users. Thus, performance bottleneck generated in accessing same optical disc by multiple users or in lower performances of the optical disc library is overcome. The invention raises storage performance of networked optical disc library.
