Abstract: |
The invention belongs to the field of computer graph and image coding and communication technique, relating to a method to allocate the rate of fine particle size extendable video coding, including equal-slope rate allocating method and equal-distortion rate allocating method. The concrete steps: first, generate the rate distortion functional curve of each frame image; by an iterative formula, obtain the slope absolute value or distortion value of equal distortion rate allocation at the optimum truncation point of the rate distortion curve, then obtain the bit number corresponding to the slope value or equal-distortion value at the optimum truncation point by the bit numbers of its two adjacent sample points. The equal slope rate allocating method can achieve the optimum video transmission quality and be improved better than traditional methods, and the equal distortion rate allocating method can maximumly reduce pulsation of image transmission quality. It can be applied to network stream media transmission, wireless video transmission and other fields. |
