Abstract：
 The invention discloses a new usage of diarylethene compounds. The invention employs diarylethene compounds with structure like formula 1 shown, under the irradiation of laser of proper wavelength, the colored closed ring molecules in the irradiated area take ring-opening reaction and produce colorless opened ring molecules; molecules in the non-irradiated area keep their structures and colors, hence 300-500nm near-field recording light spot is left with high contrast which means this kind of compounds can be used for near-field light storage, wherein the X1, Y1, X2, Y2 can be C, S or N; R1, R2 can be alkyl, alkylene, aldehydo, amido, methoxy, carboxyl, crown ether, aryl and other electron-donating and electron-attacting groups.
