Abstract：
 A process for preparing gallium nitrate used as the catalyst to prepare the thin-burning oxynitride includes such steps as proportionally dissolving Ga2O3 in the solution of nitric acid, repeating the adding water heating and evaporating steps until it becomes the transparent solution without irritation smell, heating at 40-80 deg.C under (0.05-0.5)X10 to the power 5 Pafor 8-16 hr, and drying at 40-80 deg.C in nitrogen gas or air for 18-36 hr. Its advantages are high properties and low cost.
