Abstract: |
The method is related to self-humidifying hydrogen and self-humidifying air inside fuel cell. Humidifying is carried out for hydrogen and air respectively by using cooling water inside bipolar plate of fuel cell through interconnected cooling water cavity and micropores in hydrogen/air flow passages. The micropores are arranged at entrance of gas flow passages in bipolar plate. Pressure of cooling water in use for humidification inside bipolar plate is so controlled that when incoming gas is flowing, cooling water is sucked into gas flow passages, and when no incoming gas is flowing, cooling water is not going out from micropores in order to prevent water accumulation in gas flow passages. Comparing with existing self-humidifying technique, the invention uses cooling water instead of reaction-generated water in order to avoid issue of not enough reaction-generated water to humidify proton exchange membrane under small current. |
