Abstract: |
The invention provides an implantable non-contact miniature axial flow blood pump for circulation support in patients with heart failure. The blood pump works based on non-contact magnetic coupling drive and comprises a pump body and a drive mechanism in vitro. The pump body consists of pump housing, anterior end cover, rear end cover, anterior impeller, rear impeller, and permanent magnet as rotor. The drive mechanism in vitro consists of motor and permanent magnet fixed in the electrode axis, and works under field excitation to transfer the motor torque to the rotor and thus to rotate the impeller. The inventive blood pump can supply energy for long period of time, and can avoid problems of the conventional blood pump, such as poor biocompatibility and postoperative infection associated with guidewire penetration. |
