Abstract:
The present invention relates to microbe fermentation. The method of promoting the growth of methane oxidizing bacteria is to adding organic acid into the culture medium for culturing methane oxidizing bacteria. Organic acid is added into the culture medium in tricarboxylic acid cycle mode to control the growth metabolism flow, reinforce the tricarboxylic acid cycle course, promote the growth metabolism of methane oxidizing bacteria and thus raise the specific cell growth rate and cell density in the culture medium to 3-4 times. The method of the present invention is simple and suitable for large scale high density culture of methane oxidizing bacteria to reach the requirement of biologically converting methane into methanol. The present invention may be also used in catalyzing the hydroxylation of C1-C20 alkane and the epoxidation of C2-C20 olefin, and has wide industrial application foreground.
