Abstract: |
The invention belongs to IPv4 and IPv6 network interconnecting method, characterized in that building peer relation of I-BGP between 4 over 6 double-stack routers and transmitting routing reachable information of the respective IPv4 isolated networks connected with the routers between them by BGP-MP protocol and completing tunnel automatic configuration, where data plane processing includes IPv4 packet packing operation and IPv6 packet unpacking operation. Because of using automatic tunnel building mechanism, the routers needs to store a corresponding relation of IPv4 network address and IPv6 address, where the corresponding relation is stored in a packing list structure and updated by BGP-MP protocol, thus implementing automatic IPv4 over IPv6 configuration. And it is simple to configure, widely applicable and able to apply to interconnection of IPv4 and IPv6 networks in complex topological structure. |
