Abstract:
The invention relates to an optical fiber coupler for implementing high efficiency coupling of high power pumped light, belonging to the optical and laser photoelectronic technical field, characterized in that: in the application of a pumping optical fiber laser using optical fiber coupler, laser pumping source-emitted pumped light directly enters optical fiber input end of the optical fiber coupler under the action of optical coupling device and then is transmitted by multiple-branch pumping optical fiber to be injected into main optical fiber of the optical fiber coupler at the output end of the pumping optical fiber, where the pumped light is transmitted in the main optical fiber in a certain direction and finally is outputted at one end of the main optical fiber for the pumping optical fiber laser. Because the multiple-branch pumping optical fiber has only one optical fiber input end and because the end surface of the optical fiber input end can be of any shape, it can directly match with various laser pumping sources without any complex shaping coupling system, and the launching efficiency is high.
