Abstract:
A nanometre carbon tubes reinforced plastic/ceramic-base composition for repairing bone is prepared from the microbially synthesijs polyhydroxy fatty acid ester (PHA) as matrix and nanometre carbon tubes as reinforcing material. Its advantages are good biodegradability, biocompatibility, and electric conductivity, unique piezoelectric performance and sufficient mechanical strength.
