Abstract: |
A wavelength-modulating polarized surface plasma sensor is composed of laser device, polarizer, sensing part, 1/4 wave plate, analyzer, photoelectric converter, phase-locked amplifier, computer and signal generator. The laser beam is converted to linear polarized beam by polarizer and them going to reflection surface of sensing part. The reflected beam is converted to left-hand turning and right-hand turning circular polarized beams by 1/4 wave plate; then the beams are converted to linear polarized beam by analyzer. After it is converted to electric signal, it is outputted to computer via phase-locked amplifier to display result. The signals from signal generator are used for modulating the wavelength of laser beam while inputting it to phase-locked amplifier for demodulating it. Its advantages are low hite noise and high resolution. |
