Abstract: |
The invention relates to a method for multicasting using a single static bidirectional tree in a a flexible channel, belonging to a method for exterior-IP (E-IP) traversing interior-IP (I-IP) in flexible channel for multicasting grouped retransmission. The method is characterized in that a static bidirectional sharing tree is constructed in a retransmission network with all provider edge (PE) routers as leaf nodes according to bidirectional PIM (BIDIR-PIM) protocol, and its rendezvous point (RP) is a provider router (P-router) configured according to strategy; all designated forwarders (DFs) on each link circuit of RP are listed; when performing multicasting grouped retransmission, the PE router encapsulates the DF, and all the I-IP destination addresses after encapsulation are addresses of RP; the PE router retransmits the grouping after encapsulation to the RP, and each DF of the RP retransmits the multicasting grouping to all other PR routers; the PE router receiving the grouping judges whether the destination address of this grouping in its connected client network, if yes, receives, decapsulates and retransmits, and if no, directly discards the grouping. By the method, the I-IP network does not require to maintain (S, G) state and the memory space of the router is saved. |
