Abstract: |
The invention is a double-wavelength compound pumping method for a kind of disc laser gain media and the gain model, which belongs to high power solid laser technology field. The invention uses pump light with two different wavelengths to be incident from the end surface and edge of the gain media into the gain media, the pump light with high imbibition coefficient is incident from the front end or the back end of the disk, the pump light with low imbibition coefficient is incident from the edge of disk; the laser gain media uses laser gain media which has double imbibition peaks or several imbibition peaks; the two kinds of pump lights are on the two imbibition peaks of the imbibition spectrum of the laser gain media. The method overcomes the restrain that the single pump wavelength can only uses a single pump method, it upgrades the of the pump power and the pump energy density, improves the uniformity of the pump energy distribution, increases the whole imbibition rate of the gain media and improves the beam quality of the output laser. |
